My week in Instagrams ✯

Tuesday, 30 June 2015

Another week another week of Instagrams, I recently downloaded the TimeHop app and I love to see what I was doing this time 1, 2, 5 years ago. So I have been trying to post one thing a day to in years time I can look back on it and know I made the most of everyday.

On Monday I went to see Dirty Dancing at the theatre and it was incredible! Then I went to see Paloma Faith with my lovely friend Wallis, read more of my last post.
Now that it is summer and the sun has finally come out the flowers look beautiful, and they are my favourite thing to spam my Instagram with.
Also this week, America legalised gay marriage in every state in America, as a supporter I posted this picture, equality is something that should have been a thing years ago, everybody is entitled to the same rights and happiness.
My week ended by going to watch polo on the beach, which was a first for me, but it was nice to enjoy a day off in the sun :)

Thank you all for reading and following my blog xxx

Paloma Faith at Eden

Monday, 29 June 2015

Hi everyone! Sorry been a bit quiet this week, after getting over food poisoning I have been addicted to Orange Is The New Black, help!! But I did go to see Paloma Faith, and have a few photos to share with you :)

It was a bit touch and go whether it would rain or not, but we took a picnic and sat waiting for Paloma to start. Eden is the only place in Cornwall where the big artists come, except from the odd festival in the summer. And tickets are hard to get your hands on, but as a family of Paloma Faith lovers we managed to be patient enough to wait in line and get the tickets. And it was so worth it!

I am hoping to recreate this makeup look for a tutorial. I wore glitter clam crystals from Collection, with Makeup Revolution Mermaids vs Unicorns Palette (an essential for festival season)

I divided my hair into a top section, parted it then french plaited two plaits, then tied them in a knot and used kirby grips so it would fall out, and then curled the bottom layer with a curling wand. You can use this look with long hair and instead of separating you layers, create two long plaits, but because my hair is short it worked better with just the top layer.
I also used Mark Hill sea salt spray to give it hold and texture.

Wallis is wearing a fringed playsuit from H&M and a head chain from Newlook. I'm wearing a jumpsuit from Newlook and a necklace from H&M. Wallis is also wearing Collection Glam Crystals in gold.

Paloma Faith live was incredible as well as hilarious!

And it didn't rain!
Ben Howard is playing next week, I so wish I had tickets.
Who has been your favourite artist you have seen live or you would like to?
I am desperate to see Ed Sheeran, Taylor Swift, James Bay and McBusted (no shame)

Thank you for reading, I need to get on with more beauty posts as they have been quiet recently, sorry about that!

See you tomorrow for a new post xxx

The Versatile Blogging Award

Thursday, 25 June 2015

Hello!! I have been nominated for the Versatile Blogging Award by Leonni, who is a new blogger, so everyone go and check her out :)

The rules are as follows-

1. Thank the person who nominated you
2. Include a link to their blog so everyone can share the love
3. Select 15 bloggers to nominate
4. Share 7 facts about yourself

I nominate-

I hope you enjoy reading their blogs like I do

Now for the 7 facts about me...

1- Instead of going to university I decided to work as I didn't really know what I wanted to study, I started my blog to keep me busy and for something to focus on.

2- I am addicted to buying lipsticks, I love wearing bright shades and experimenting with colours, I don't think I will be able to stop!

3- My favourite film is About Time, I love the story and the filming, half of it was filmed near to where I live and where I was working at the time, and the cast came into the restaurant I was waitressing in for lunch, including Margot Robbie!

4- I am a massive lover of art, I studied fine art for my GCSE and A levels, I no longer do any art but love to collect it and I am currently creating a feature wall which, when its finished I will do a blogpost on.

5- I grew up on a farm so my first pet was a lamb... called Lamby.

6- I would love to move to London one day, I love the city, as someone who has grown up in practically the middle of nowhere, London is so exciting, something is always going on, whenever I have the time and money I love to visit and cram as much as a can into a day as possible.

7- Party rings are my favourite thing to eat, especially with a cup of tea. Im very much a tea and biscuits type of gal!

Thankyou all for reading lovelies! See you soon :)

My Week in Instagrams ✯

Tuesday, 23 June 2015

This week has been a busy old week for me, it started with my Auntie Gill coming down to stay with us, so we went on a few outings with her, whilst I also had a work's leaving party and a gig to round off the week :)

But it did end a bit badly when I got food poisoning, so still feeling a bit poorly...

1- Vintage fayre, the morning after the night before, we had been to the festival, and bright and early on Sunday, my mum woke me up, through very tired eyes I put some mascara and lipstick on and toddled off to this beautiful fayre. These little soy candles were made in vintage tea cups and I fell in love with them!

2- Cheers, as the weather was beautiful this week in Cornwall, we took my auntie to make the most of it by the sea, with a cheeky glass of prosecco.

3- Latergram from the weekend, I wrote up a blog post of our weekend at the festival which you can read by clicking here :)

4- Lunch date, we went shopping on Thursday (ended in me having no money-oops) and we stopped at this cute eclectic restaurant, I loved the hanging old fashioned lampshades. They also did every flavour of ice tea you can imagine, I had watermelon, *drooling*

5- Swishy swish, On Friday, some of the work girlies and I met up for drinks and  to say toddle pip to another girl who's just left. We are people who can talk for England, and are regularly getting in trouble at working for talking, so meeting up outside of work for a good old chin wag is always fun! I wore black heels from Forever 21 and a black skater dress from Boohoo :)

6- Daisys, my favourite, I love these flowers they always cheer me up.

7- Almost completed art wall! Managed to get a few more frames up over the weekend, I might do an updated room tour just for my wall, if anyone would be interested? To show you how to create a feature wall?

8- Gig Time! Once again, my chummy Wallis and I went along to a gig, playing in the town next to where we live, to watch a band called The Backbeat Soundsystem (check them out they are amazing!) and we spent the evening drinking cocktails and dancing, twas lovely!

9- mmmm, whilst I being very poorly yesterday I was day dreaming of these cherries stacked up high in the supermarket, now that I am feeling a bit better I might have to go back and buy some.

Thankyou all for reading, I hope you have all had a lovely week, let me know what you have been upto, or follow me on Instagram so I can follow you back :)

There is also a few new videos gone up over my Youtube channel if you fancied watching something different..

See you all soon, lotsa love xxxx

My Week On Instagram ✯

Monday, 15 June 2015

Happy Monday everybody!
This was meant to go up yesterday but for reasons you are about to discover, I wasn't capable of writing a blog post yesterday, oops.
This past week has felt like the first week of summer, we started off the week by going to an outdoor cinema, then finished it with a festival. I had holiday to take at work as well, so I managed to catch up on filming Youtube videos, woo!
Also I watched the first episode of 'Humans' last night!? Did anyone else? It was super good, creepy, but good!

Anyway, let me explain what I have been up to :)

1 Outdoor Cinema- This is my sister, Phoebe and me. We barely see each other as I work a lot and she is at college or at her boyfriends, but my mum booked tickets to go to an outdoor cinema to spend some time together.

2 Popcorn anyone?- This little dude dressed as a dinosaur was selling popcorn at the cinema event, super cute!

3 Grease is the word- The outdoor cinema was showing Grease! My favourite musical ever, Phoebe and I would sing our hearts out to this when we were younger. We went with loads of people and had a picnic, it was so lovely, if only it was warmer, by the end of the night I was convinced my feet would fall off.

4 Festival Lookbook- So as I had a few days off, I took the opportunity to use one of them to film my festival look book, which will be up next week. This is just a screen shot to show you guys a sneak peek of my makeup and hair. Do you like it? :)

5 Makeup preparation- So, on Saturday my friend Wallis and I, were off to our first festival of the year, I just loved how Wallis had set up her makeup like this for us to get ready.

6 Off we go!- I can do a blog post of the night, this is just us as we were leaving. I'm wearing a playsuit (bad idea for needing a wee) from Newlook and Wallis is wearing a daisy dress from Topshop. The festival was amazing and the music was incredible, just want to relive it all again, now time to catch up with sleep. Zzzzz.

How was your week? Leave a link to your Instagram below so we can follow each other! Or follow the link here to my profile, thankyou for reading :)

Lotsa love, B xxx

See By Chloé

Thursday, 11 June 2015

(Oops, chipped nail varnish...)

Behold, my new favourite perfume.
I think this is going to my 'summer fragrance', I went perfume shopping a few weeks ago with my, it was an accident, I didn't actually need any more perfumes, but couldn't resist this one. I am already a big lover of Chloé by Chloé, which I got for my eighteenth birthday. Chloé has top notes of rose, which I find to be more of an evening fragrance. However see by Chloé is such a light fruity floral fragrance, perfect for everyday wear.

First of all, I love the bottle, it reminds me of a Christmas decoration, as it has a  loop on the lid, like you can hang it.

I've researched what fragrances are in it, as my nose is not that clever, I just smell 'nice' and 'I would like to smell like this please.' So See By Chloé, smells like, bergamot, apple blossom, jasmine and ylang ylang, with a base of vanilla and sandal wood. A lovely cocktail of smells, to make you smell amazing. I feel like I have said smell too much, its starting to not look like a real word...
I tend to go for perfumes with a sandal wood base, as it is a warm and soft smell and bergamot has a very sweet smell.

Everybody has their own preference for fragrances, I prefer perfumes which smell fresh and floral. If you do too, this perfume is perfect for you. I also find it lasts all days, and throughout the days the scent changes as it sits on your skin and smells even more delicious. I also like to layer it with Sunshine, a perfume by the Library of Fragrane, which I wrote a blog post on here :)

What is your favourite everyday perfume?
Either leave a comment and follow me over on Bloglovin'.
Thankyou so much for reading,
lots of luv and tings, B xxx

My Week on Instagram 4

Sunday, 7 June 2015

Another week, another week of Instagram goodness, and it has officially turned Summer, although it has done nothing but rain since the 1st June. *sigh*
This past week has been busy for me, seeing friends, working and planning for le festival season.

1- 'Nom Nom Nom' Last Friday I went to visit my lovely friend Hanna (and her hamster) and her very beautiful bump. She is due next week, I am beyond excited for her, and this was the last time I would see her before she has her little bub.

2- 'Start the day with a smile and end it with champagne' As we watched the semi final to Britain's Got Talent (I cried...numerous times) we had some Prosecco and thought we looked oh so classy.

3- 'Festival lookbook planning' I wrote a blog post with lots of inspiration for the upcoming festival season, with outfits and makeup looks. I am so excited!

4- 'Foodie lunch date' As usual, every week my best chum Emily and I meet up for a coffee or lunch, this week we had a bit more time on our hands so made the most of it and went out for lunch at a cute little café. If you want to see my FOTD and what I got up to, you can read that blog post here :) I don't know about you, but  I think sweet potato fries are the best!

5- 'Pout it out ladies' My friend Wallis, aka, my festival partner, came over to play around with my makeup collection and plan some makeup looks. We spent the evening drinking tea and watching Youtube videos on how to create glittery eyes and how to wear flower crowns. Bright lips and glittery eyes, my fave!

6- 'Makeup addict right here!' I filmed a makeup tutorial this morning and this is the mess I made after, oops! I love the Maybelline Colour Tattoos and have been experimenting with them recently, so thought I would show you a look I have been enjoying.

I hope you have had a lovely week, let me know what you have been up to :)

Thankyou for reading, muchos luvos, B xxx

Festival Lookbook Inspiration ♡

Tuesday, 2 June 2015

So it's June, that came around quickly aye!? Which also means, it's also the start of festival season, wooohoo!

If you are too excited like me and looking for some inspiration, I have been avidly pinning away over on Pinterest and here are some of my favourite looks that I am hoping to recreate.

A lot include huge amounts of glitter and flowers, obviously.

All above images were found on Pinterest :)

I have a couple of festival tickets booked, I am lucky enough to live in Cornwall, so there are lots of music events going on by the coast, so I have filled up my summer with gigs and festivals, so exciting!

My friend Wallis and I spent last night experimenting with makeup and looks, and I am just too excited and wanted to share some of those photos with you. Blog posts on makeup looks will be up soon, I am also planning on doing a lookbook for you, if that is something you would be interested in seeing?

It all got a bit messy!

Pout it out ladies!

My flower crown is from H&M and the lipstick I'm wearing is Mac 'All Fired Up'.

Are you going to any festivals this year?! What looks are you going for?

Thankyou for reading:)

Kiss kiss, B xxx
